“The reason for loving God is God Himself. As to how He is to be loved, there is only one measure: It is immeasurable!” ― Saint Bernard of Clairvaux.
We are all in prayers but the question we need to ask ourselves is whether we love God or not. Most of us do not love God for who He is but we love Him when we receive healing, miracle and deliverances.
If we love God for receiving healing, miracles and deliverances then we will not know God and because of not knowing God we may live with the lies of the devil for long time.
God is to be loved for who He is and not because of what we receive from Him. God is our creator and we are His creation and hence we have to love Him for creating us.
When we learn more things about God and His ways then surely we will be able to love Him for who He is without expecting anything from Him. When we expect something from Him and love Him then we will not be able to love Him for long time but till we receive and if by any chance receiving is delayed then surely we will not be able to love Him for who He is.
We have to understand that God first loved us before even we came to know about Him and we as humans have to love Him after we come to know Him. Without receiving love from God it is impossible to understand His love towards us especially when we were sinners.
When we were sinners if God did not show His love towards us then surely we would have perished in our sins but because He loved us more that is the reason we have changed to what we are today.
Our life belongs to Him because of the second chance He has given us and let us live for Him when we are living in this world.
God loves us today when we are sinners so that we may also love our family members or friends or relatives struggling with sin.
God will always lead us by His good example so that we might imitate Him and do good to others around us and when we learn to love others then surely we will be overflowing with love of God which will flow out of us like a river.
