CATHOLIC SPIRITUAL INSPIRATION DAILY – BY ROVAN PINTO.

CHARITY BRINGS TO LIFE AGAIN THOSE WHO ARE SPIRITUALLY DEAD. –SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS

In this world there are 2 types of people first type of people they only pray but are not generous towards the needy and second type of people pray a little and some do not pray at all but they are very generous towards the needy.

When we are belonging to 1st category surely we will not be generous towards others and also instead of growing in generosity we grow in selfishness. These people love themselves more than others that is why they most of the time pray for their selfish needs.
We pray not because we love GOD but because we are in want of something from GOD. When GOD answers us one need of ours then another need arises and this will continue till we die and we live a life of selfishness without doing good to others around us. When we are in this category there is a possibility that we may fall trap to unbelief or anger or rebellion so that we may become spiritually dead.

If we belong to 2nd category we will be generous towards others around us even if we are spiritually dead. We have to understand because of our generosity one or the other point in life our spirituality will come back to life again. These people love others as they love themselves by showing act of generosity.
If we are not in a habit of praying, we will start praying and if we are in habit of praying a little very soon we find ourselves praying more and suddenly we find our faith ignited and because of this we will continue help others around us physically and also spiritually and bring all the lost and broken souls to GOD.

Generosity is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit we have to cultivate in our life so that it will help us to ignite our faith which is dead and set our life on fire for GOD.
