CATHOLIC SPIRITUAL INSPIRATION DAILY – BY ROVAN PINTO.

"PENANCE REQUIRES . . . THE SINNER TO ENDURE ALL THINGS WILLINGLY, BE CONTRITE OF HEART, CONFESS WITH THE LIPS, AND PRACTICE COMPLETE HUMILITY AND FRUITFUL SATISFACTION."CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH 1450

We all are living in this corrupt world and we are surrounded by people who know God and also people who do not know GOD. We have to be very careful not to follow anyone blindly without verifying everything they say and do.  If we blindly follow them and if they are living in errors then surely we will live a life filled with errors.

We have to repent for all the errors we have committed in the past and if we still persist in errors there is no possibility for our repentance to be complete.

We instead of blindly following others and falling trap to errors, let us make effort to read Bible and start doing everything according to the truth written in it. We have to be a living example to others around us so that they may imitate us as we imitate Jesus when He was on earth.

Today most of us who are regular in prayer also do not know the truth and because of this we are not growing spiritually after being in prayers for long time. Today we have all the time to sit and watch TV or spend time on face book or chat on whatsapp but we do not have time to examine our life which is most important of all and find out the mistakes we are doing so that we may stop committing mistakes and start doing right.

We all because of neglecting self examination most us have moved from committing venial sins towards mortal sin and got ourselves disconnected from God. Repentance means turning our face to GOD and our back to sin but in reality most of us will be doing exactly opposite turning our back to God and our face to sin.

More we delay repenting for our sins more we are in danger of perishing. Let us not wait for long to repent from our sins and change our life because death can strike us suddenly by surprise and we may lose our soul to eternal condemnation. God is the GOD of mercy and Grace when we are living and after our death GOD will become God of justice and because of this we should not expect mercy from God after our death.
