Thus the marriage bond has been established by God himself in such a way that a marriage concluded and consummated between baptized persons can never be dissolved. This bond, which results from the free human act of the spouses and their consummation of the marriage, is a reality, henceforth irrevocable, and gives rise to a covenant guaranteed by God's fidelity. The church does not have the power to contravene this disposition of divine wisdom. Catechism of the Catholic Church 1640.

Marriage is not a contractual relationship but it is a covenant relationship which was instituted by GOD which can be broken only when one of the spouse dies.

Today’s marriage has become fashion for people in this world, that’s why most of them think that they can break the marriage anytime they want and for any reason. Marriage is not a bed of roses but bed of thorns.

Thorns are going to hurt us when we touch it in the same we will be hurt by the words spoken by one to another. Most of the marriages are broken because of arguments and fights.

Most of the people do not even understand the meaning of marriage and purpose of marriage. Most of us get married because we are attracted physically. We have to understand that physical attraction will last only for few years and after that we start arguments, fighting, blaming and hurting each other.

Main purpose of marriage is Love. If love only is not there that marriage will not last long. We cannot have love without having prayer life and making JESUS centre of our life.

Without JESUS becoming centre of our married life, our marriage will not become a blessing for us and also for our children. Before getting married first thing both spouses have to learn is to pray so that both can save their marriage from all the storms and schemes of devil.

All married couples let us make a decision to take marriage seriously and to support each other in times of distress and also be encouragement in each other’s life. Every parent has to be a living example to their children so that they may learn their way and live a life of dignity, respect and love.
