Word of God clearly says in Romans 6:23
- For the wages of sin is death, but the free
gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Word of God explains to us that wages of sin is death. If
wages for sin is death then we wonder why we are still alive after committing
sin after sin. Truth is we are alive only because of suffering and death of
Jesus.
We have to understand that flesh is the main reason for our sin. We have to understand
that there are 15 fruits of the
flesh fornication,
impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy,
anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness,
carousing. We have to analyze our life and see how many fruit of the
flesh we possess, If we possess one or more fruits of the flesh then surely we
are serious danger of falling trap to sin every day.
If we are living with sin it is as good as living with a
poisonous snake. When we are living with poisonous snake we will be in fear all
the time when that snake may bite us. Let us flee from sin and accept our
saviour Jesus Christ who carried our sins on the cross to Calvary and died for
us so that we may be free from sin and live a life of holiness and
righteousness.
Let us thank Jesus Christ for setting us free from slavery of
sin. Let us not dishonour the victory Jesus Got for us by dying for us on the
cross by committing sins. Let us honour sacrifice of Jesus by living our life
according to the Word of God so that we can live away from sin and very close
to God by living a life of holiness and righteousness.
