Word of God clearly says in Hebrews
9:22 - Indeed,
under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the
shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
Today if we are committing sins and are alive it’s
only because of Jesus sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. We all take the
sacrifice of Jesus very lightly and because of that most of us do not know the
benefits Jesus brought to us through His blood.
Jesus Blood is precious and also powerful.
Because of Jesus blood we are receiving forgiveness easily whenever we go for
confession.
Blood of Jesus redeems us from the slavery of sin
that’s why we see people who were in sin are converted into righteousness.
Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all corruption we have inherited because of
being in the fellowship with the world and our flesh. Blood of Jesus protects
us from the traps of the enemy. Blood of Jesus has reconciled the entire
humankind to God.
We have to honour the sacrifice of Jesus on the
cross of Calvary because we are all alive because of that or else we also would
have perished like people who perished in great flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, in
the desert and so on. People in today’s world are committing 1000 times more
sin than the people of the Old Testament because of the influence of media on
them but still they are not perishing like them only because of Jesus precious
blood.
Let us at least now make effort to honour the
sacrifice of Jesus so that our life will change for better and also we will
grow in holiness and righteousness.
